Associazione Sammarinese Equal Rights
È giunto il momento che dobbiamo unirci e non solo nelle individuali comunità ma anche fra le comunità sammarinesi sparse nel mon-do, nel lottare per la parità dei diritti. Non si è cittadini sammarinesi semplicemente avendo un cognome sammarinese, proprietà in territorio, o un passaporto: occorre credere e difendere la vera nostra istituzione, con una ferma fiducia nella parità dei diritti fra il proprio popolo. Con prudenza abbiamo letto l’articolo apparso sul San Marino Oggi del Segretario del PDCS Pasquale Valentini, il quale alla chiusura della sezione DC in NY, risponde oltre al suo rammarico un attento interessamento per una riconciliazione. Dice anche che la sua proposta alla Consulta di Ottobre è stata respinta, vuol dire che era sbagliata e giustamente respinta. Sarebbe an-che interessante sapere se la proposta della DC è stata quella accettata dalla coalizione o un frutto di tanti compromessi? dove è la verità? Considera i sammarinesi all’estero tutti Ambasciatori ma poi a questi Ambasciatori viene negato il diritto alla parola! Considera il problema del voto come delicato. Ma come, il voto non era un diritto una volta? Inaccettabile è “L’istituzione del Collegio Este-ro“ che chiarisce il vero scopo, quello di pri-vare del diritto al voto i sammarinesi all’estero e introducendolo raggiungeranno un solo obbiettivo: Il Voto estero non conterà più. La sfida ed il dialogo deve continuare sulla teoria della porta chiusa e del portone che si apre sperando che il portone sia quello della porta del Paese dove tutti i cittadini possono entrare senza limitazione e senza discrimi-nazione. Sarebbe realmente un passo avanti special-mente da parte del PDCS che per anni, si può dire storicamente, ha sostenuto e galante-mente combattuto per mantenere parità di diritti fra i cittadini ovunque residenti contin-uasse in quel intento, e non che il loro famoso grido di difendere i nostri diritti a spada tratta si capovolga, e la spada, la usassero per tagliare la nostra testa. La nostra osservazione e consiglio, su quanto accade, è che si deve verificare chi nella nos-tra Terra si esprimi in una semplice e chiara affermazione: crediamo nella assoluta parità dei diritti nel nostro popolo ovunque risieda. Il vicinissimo domani presenterà più difficoltà tanto a noi, quanto alla nostra Repub-blica nel mantenere in vita vere comunità sammarinesi all’estero. Abbiamo lanciato ASER, una unione di tutti sammarinesi residenti e non residenti che credano nella parità dei diritti, e specialmente dopo l’esito delle ultime elezioni, che il cittadino residente all’estero non è come da qualcuno vociferato un pericolo per chi risiede di perdere la vera direzione del governare. Se ASER potrà prendere vita sarà sicura-mente un bene specialmente per il futuro dei giovani sammarinesi, anche residenti, che, se per un migliore avvenire dovranno emigrare il loro disagio sarà meno accentuato. Ai nostri giovani che hanno vissuto l’espe-rienza dei soggiorni culturali a Loro il nostro invito di far parte di questo raggruppamento, Voi che avete partecipato alle classi dove vi hanno insegnato la secolare democratica vita su cui il nostro Paese ne ha fatto la sua radice, dovreste capire quanto chi oggi gover-na sia uscito da quel democratico concetto dei nostri padri: l’uguaglianza nel nostro popolo. Ieri Noi siamo stati indispensabili, domani speriamo che il passato non si ripeti, ma un fatto storicamente è documentato, più cittadini una nazione ha, più sicuro è, tanto il Suo cammino, quanto la Sua sopravvivenza. Ai partecipanti della Pre Consulta i nostri auguri di un buon lavoro, ribadiamo la fiducia alla proposta della Fratellanza di NY la quale invita la Consulta a ritornare alle sue origini (Presidente il Segretario di Stato Affari Esteri) e di organizzare una speciale riunione con Governo, opposizione, stampa e aperta al pubblico, con elette persone da ogni Comunità eliminando il non giustificato decreto sulla incompatibilità. Se anche questa semplice richiesta verrà rifiutata, è realmente da pensare la mancanza di rispetto verso l’organizzazione da parte delle autorità e a tutti i cittadini sammarinesi all’estero e contemplare provvedimenti con manifestazioni pubbliche di protesta. The moment that we must unite has come and not only in the individual communities but also with all Sammarinese communities in the world to fight for equal rights. It is simply not enough for Sammarinese citizens to have a Sammarinese last name, to own property in the territory or a passport, it is necessary to believe and to defend our true institution with a firm belief in equal rights among the people. With great attention we read the article that appeared in San Marino Oggi by the Secretary of the PDCS Pasquale Valentini. His answer at the closing of the DC division in NY, over his sadness, was to give an intent interest for reconciliation. He also said in that article that his proposal to the Consulta in October was rejected, which means it was wrong and therefore justly rejected. It would also be interesting to know if that proposal was created by the DC or the fruit of many compromises. Where does lies the truth? He considered the Sammarinesi in foreign countries as Ambassadors but then these Ambassadors are denied the right to speak! He considered the problem of the vote as a delicate situation but why, wasn’t the right to vote once a right? Unacceptable is his suggestion on voting laws of "The institution of the Foreign College" because it will clarify its true purpose: to deprive the rights of voting to the Sammarinesi in foreign countries and introducing a single objective: the foreign vote will not count anymore. He said the challenge and dialogue must continue on the theory that a closed back door has the possibility to open a main door, we hope like the one in the Porta del Paese where all citizens can enter without limitations and without discriminations. It would really be a step forward especially from the PDCS, which for years historically have sustained and gallantly fought for maintaining equal rights among citizens wherever residing to continue with that objective and not change their famous words in defending our rights with the force of a sword and not allow that sword to be used to cut off our heads. Our observation and suggestion, on what is occurring, is that we have to verify in our Land those persons who will express a simple and clear affirmation: we believe in the absolute parity of rights for our people wherever they reside. The very near future will create more difficulties for us and for our Republic in maintaining true Sammarinese communities around the world. We created ASER, a union for all residing and non residing Sammarinesi who believe in equal rights, and especially after the results of the last elections that verified that the non resident citizen, as rumored by some, is a danger for those who reside in losing the true direction of the government. If ASER grows it will especially be good for the future of the young Sammarinesi. For the young residents if they must emigrate for a better future it will be less stressful by knowing their equal rights are secured. To our young people who experienced the Soggiorni Culturali we invited you to be a part of this group, and you participated in classes where they taught you the secular democratic life on which our Country has its roots. However, you should understand those who govern today have left out the democrat concept of our fathers: equality in our people. Yesterday we were essential, tomorrow we hope that the past does not repeat. Historically this fact is documented – the more citizens a nation has the surer it is for her present and future life and for the unexpected. To the participants of the Pre Consulta our wishes for a good job, reconfirm the trust of the proposal by the Fratellanza Sammarinese of NY, which invites the Consulta to return to its origins (the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs as President) and to organize a special meeting with the Government, the opposition, the press and opened to the public, with chosen people from every Community in eliminating the unjustified decree of incompatibility. If this simple request is refused, we truly think it shows disrespect from the Government toward the organization and to all Samma-rinese citizens residing abroad and to respond with public demonstrations of protest.
